Last updated: 29 October 2026
Orchids Paradise respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit www.orchidsparadise.com or buy from us, how we use it and the rights you have under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
Orchids Paradise is a trading name of a sole trader based in Manchester, United Kingdom. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at any time at studiorchids@hotmail.com.
Information we collect
When you place an order: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number (if given), the items you buy and your order history.
When you contact us: your name, email address and the content of your message, including details of any bespoke request.
When you browse the site: technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device and the pages you visit, collected through cookies (see below).
We do not receive or store your full card details. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers.
How we use your information
To process, deliver and support your order, including returns and refunds (performance of a contract).
To reply to your enquiries and prepare bespoke creations (our legitimate interests or steps you ask us to take before a contract).
To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and understand how the site is used so we can improve it (our legitimate interests).
To keep accounting and tax records (legal obligation).
We do not send marketing emails, and we never sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary with trusted providers who help us run the shop: Wix.com (website, online store and hosting), our payment providers Wix Payments, PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay, Usercentrics (cookie consent) and the courier that delivers your order. Each of them must protect your information and use it only for the service they provide.
International transfers
Some of these providers, including Wix, may store or process information outside the UK, for example in the United States or the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards approved under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for six years to meet UK tax and accounting rules. Messages and enquiries are kept for up to two years after our last contact, unless they relate to an order. Information is then deleted securely.
Cookies
Our site uses essential cookies so that the shop, basket and checkout work. With your consent, given through the cookie banner, we also use analytics and functional cookies to understand how the site is used. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings in the banner or in your browser settings. Refusing non-essential cookies does not stop you from shopping with us.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email studiorchids@hotmail.com and we will reply within one month.
Security
Our website is protected by an SSL certificate and payments are handled by PCI DSS compliant providers. Access to your information is limited to what is needed to fulfil your order.
Complaints
If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
